Eating Your Way to a Healthier You

Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.” -Jim Rohn

We are constantly reminded of the importance of healthy eating habits and getting exercise on a daily basis. Too often take our health for granted, as we tend to become accustomed to being “healthy.” As with chiropractic care, maintenance of our health is key. Something as simple as eating breakfast and going on a walk can have everlasting benefits and positive results on our health.

Making the first meal of the day, breakfast, a priority is essential to starting the day on the right track. Various studies have shown that in order to achieve optimum brain function and maximum productivity, we must initiate our metabolism within the first thirty minutes of waking up. Consuming a hearty, filling breakfast can also prevent us from making unhealthy choices throughout the day.

Some of my favorite go to breakfasts are the most simple ones, which pack lasting nutrition to hold me over until lunch. Options like healthy cereals, oatmeal, and fruit and vegetable smoothies are my favorite. I hope that a couple of these simple recipes can kick-start your day and help you make the best out of each and everyday!
